Astrium offers its services in three areas:
Space Transportation: it represents main supplier for civil and military space transportation and manned space activities.
Satellites: it is also active in the design and manufacture of satellite systems, with business activities covering civil and military telecommunications and Earth observation, science and navigation programmes, together with a complete range of associated ground infrastructure and space equipment.
Services: excellent knowledge in the area of secure communication, Earth observation services, and navigation services.
Number of employees is about 15000 who work in five countries: Germany, France, United Kingdom, Spain, The Netherlands. The office "Astrium Czech Republic" was opened in Prague in September 2010. On that occasion, the official reception was held at the detached workplace of the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic in Janovského 438/2, 170 00 Prague 7.

Thales is a leading defence contractor and a major player in civil and commercial markets around the world. Its business is organised according to three main segments: aerospace and space, defence, security. It is a French company which generates close to 80% of its revenues outside France.
