Department in charge of space activities:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs oversees the foreign policy aspects of outer space issues and outer space activities of the Czech Republic. It is also represented in the Coordination Council of the Minister of Transport for Space Activities. First Deputy Minister presides over the working group on security and international relations. Respective departments of the Foreign Ministry focus on international law dimension, outer space law and international treaties. They are also involved in the formulation and implementation of the foreign policy of the Czech Republic in the field of multilateral relations and cooperation with international organizations concerning the outer space issues. They also monitor the cosmic dimension of the European Union policies.
